The guiding principle behind this agreement is the shared belief that there is a better way to develop kids as soccer players at every level. WPFC fans, Emerald Downs has generously made a donation to our 2012 Auction this coming Saturday, February 4th. 2012 Athena Student Athlete Scholarship

The Washington Premier F.C. Board of Directors and Athena Partners are pleased to announce that we are currently accepting 2012 Athena Student Athlete Scholarship Applications. This is the third year of the scholarship existance and is open to all graduating high school senior that has participated in three (3) consecutive years at WPFC, documented community service for each of the three years (10 hours minimum per year), high school transcripts (grades 9-12) with a minimum GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) and a written essay. ECNL National Event Series Sanford, FL
'95 & '94 ECNL hold their own
Washington Premier’s ECNL teams had a strong showing in Florida. The ’95 and ’94 Girls ECNL teams traveled to Florida the last week in December to participate in the season’s second ECNL National Event. The ’95 ECNL led by Head Coach Scott Halasz, opened with a 1-0 victory over Birmingham United, won their second game 4-2 over Penn United before losing the last game to a strong Concorde Fire team from Atlanta 3-1. Forward Mariah Lee of the 95 squad was named to the All Event U-16 Team. [+]

Tryouts Postponed to Friday, Jan. 27th

2011 Northwest Champions League Champions
WPFC earned two of the eight U11 - U14 Northwest Champions League crowns in Redmond, WA over the first weekend of December to earn automatic entry in to the 2012 Surf Cup in San Diego, CA. Pictured above is coach Wade Webber with both of his Championship teams: B ’99 and B ’98 black. This is the fourth time in two years that WPFC has been a crowned a champion in this age division. [+]

BU-13 Black complete perfect WCDA season
Six teams from Washington Premier F.C. traveled to Las Vegas over Thanksgiving weekend to compete in Western College Development Association matches. The WCDA is a program featuring thirty elite soccer clubs from eight western states who compete throughout the year at various events to determine champions for U13 through U18 age groups. Coach Wade Webber’s U13 boys pictured above wrapped up a perfect WCDA season on Sunday with a 2-1 win over the Las Vegas Heat to bring the championship trophy home. [+]
Dynamo talisman - WPFC Alumn Tally Hall
Falls short of 2011 MLS Cup Championship
 In the second consecutive year, a WPFC Alumn has played in the MLS CUP Championship. This year, Tally Hall (Goalkeeper/Houston Dynamo) and last year Ciaran O’Brien (Midfielder/Colorado Rapids). The Houston Dynamo came up short in their bid for a third MLS Cup title in six years, losing 1-0 on the road against the LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup championship game Sunday night at The Home Depot Center.

Greater Northwest Athletic Conference All-star team
WPFC Alumna K. Jenkins Voted GNAC Player-of-the-Year
WPFC Alumnae took three of the top four Greater Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) player honors Senior midfielder Kelsey Jenkins was named the Player of the Year, junior defender Taylor Sawyer received the Defensive Player of the Year award, and midfielder Riley Dopps was named the Co-Freshman of the Year. Both Jenkins and Sawyer were also given first-team selections, while Dopps was given honorable mention on the 2011 GNAC All-star squad. [+]

Alumni Sean Okoli & Jalen Markey
Selected to the US MNT U-20 & U-18 pools in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
 The Sounders FC has gotten in the habit of adding players for their Academy to the list of contributors to the US National Teams youth pools. On Monday, two WPFC Alumni were added to the list as Jalen Markey and Sean Okoli received their calls to play with the U-18 National Team and U-20 National Team respectively in their January training camp that runs from January 2-9 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

2011 GNAC Soccer Academic All-Conference Team
Eight WPFC Alumni Awarded
 Eight WPFC Alumni student-athletes were named to the 2011 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Star team that was released today. Brandon Scott, a repeater from 2010, led the men with a g.p.a. of 3.77 in Business, while Kelly Cates, also a repeater from 2010 led the woman with a g.pa. of 3.52 in Marine Biology.

WPFC Girl’s HS training program
Commitment to Excellence
For the first time in Club history, Washington Premier created a united team across 4 age groups to compete in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL) Fall U-19 competition. The team was comprised of players from the ’93 to ’96 age groups who either opted out of playing for their high school or were not yet eligible for their high school team, as they attend a 3-year high school. The team trained twice a week throughout the fall, as a single group, creating a terrific Club atmosphere. |

 The club is selling Beanies through The Red Card Cafe for a reasonable $20 each. All sales go directly to the club.
Also our Girls ’97 ECNL are selling umbrellas with the full color club logo for $25 each. While our boys ’99 State Champs are selling license plate frames with club logo and "Live, Breathe, Play" motto across bottom and are available for $10 each at The Red Card.
