Update on Fundraiser for Fallen Lakewood Officers
Kelly White raises over $9,800 for the families

(February 7, 2010) - In December, Kelly White of our G95 Black began raising money for the families of the slain Lakewood Police officers by selling LPD support bracelets for $5.00 each. All the money from the sales of the bracelets was donated to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Charity Fund, which goes directly to a trust for the children of the fallen officers. Kelly asked us to post this thank you to the WPFC family:

Dear WPFC Family: Thank you for supporting me in raising money for the fallen Lakewood Officers. With your help, I raised over $9,800. Thanks again for all your support!! Kelly White.

Even though Kelly is finished with her fundraiser, you may still donate directly to the fallen officers here: http://www.lpig.us.

Soccer Around the World
G96 White's Mikala in Cabo San Lucas

(February 7, 2010). Mikala Chissus plays on our 96 White team, and she just returned from Cabo San Lucas.  MIkala and her mom spent a day learning how to work with Dolphins, and they brought along a Sounders ball. The dolphin loved it, but she kept wanting to play with it in her mouth. The ball suffered a few scratches but survived. The trainers were soccer players so they all ended up playing a little dribbling with each other. Mikala and her mom left the ball with the trainers as their gift. As Mikala's mom said, "It's cool to be able to go all over the world and make a connection with people with a soccer ball."
