WPFC Offers Individual Training Opportunities
Dedicated to Soccer Specific Training Focused on Your Athlete’s Needs

WPFC is pleased to offer individual training opportunities in connection with PHD Training.

PHD Training is a small company, dedicated to helping young athletes achieve their dreams.  The initials, PHD, stand for "Poor, Hungry, Driven" -- the essence of PHD’s approach to training.  There’s a confidence that comes when you know you’ve trained harder than your opponent.  PHD strives to help every player channel his or her hunger and drive into a training formula that is designed for their success.

What is PHD’s Approach?

PHD’s approach to training is simple:  provide players with the tools they need and encourage them to dream big.

Consultation

To find out what a player needs, we always begin by consulting the family.  What exactly does the player hope to get out of training?  What are the player’s strengths?  What part of their game needs work?  Basically, how can we help?  If the parents have no objection, we then contact the coach to find out what areas they think the player needs to improve.  By having clear goals and objectives to work from, we can assess how successful we are with each player.

Implementation

With the information gathered, we design a plan of attack for the player and implement it on the soccer field.  We typically try to meet once a week with each player for an hour.  All training sessions are designed to be fun, effective and custom-tailored to the player’s specific needs.

Assessment

Throughout the training process, we assess the success level by consulting with the player, the parents, and the coach to make modifications or change training tactics if needed.  We also try to watch our players in game situations to make our own evaluations of their level of play.  We take great interest in each player and deeply care about their success.  Therefore, the assessment aspect of our approach is ongoing. We will not rest until we’ve helped our players.
