Fischer Gallinger
Boys ’95 Black
(June 20, 2010) - After attending the Region IV ODP camp in Linfield, Or., Fischer was invited to attend the U-14 National ID camp in Concord, Massachusetts in August. In November 2009, the U-14 National team held their first event in Orlando, Florida at the Wide World of Disney Sports Complex. The team trained the first part of the week and then took part in the Interregional Tournament being played there, and played 3 of the 4 regional ODP teams from around the country and concluded with both National Navy and Red teams playing each other. In January, the National team travelled to Guadalajara, Mexico for a week of training and friendly matches. The team played various local clubs, and experienced local culture by attending a professional soccer match as well as taking a trip to the city’s large outdoor market where the players bargained for various crafts and souvenirs. In May of 2010, Fischer was invited to train with the team for a week and play friendly matches against local clubs at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Ca. This trip he enjoyed the most as he met several professional soccer players who were training at the facility at the same time, including Jozy Altidore, as well as meeting Bruce Arena who came to talk to the entire team. The team was able to go to the beach for part of a day, and also attended a Chivas match while they were there. Currently, Fischer is getting ready to attend the Far West Regional Tournament in Albuquerque, NM with the WPFC Boys 95 Black team that begins June 21.
