(July 27, 2010) - Congratulations to our boys 98 Black who won the Gold Division of the Stanno Harbor Tyee Cup last weekend.  The team swept their preliminary games over Seattle United 98 West White, Bainbridge Island FC Blue and Harbor 98 Premier.  WPFC then topped Bainbridge Island FC Blue 4-0 in the final to earn the fish trophy. While the team didn’t have any problems scoring goals, the best accomplishment of the weekend was playing 240 minutes without conceding a single goal.

(July 27, 2010) - The ’00 Black team won the the Jamboree Championship at Stanno Habor Tyee Cup this past weekend finishing 3-0-1 in the GU-10 bracket.  Although there were no official scores kept due it being a jamboree, they collected wins over Westside, Crossfire, and Harbor FC, and tied another tough Westside team in a hot physical battle. The team finished with 17 GF and 4 GA and also had two shutouts over the weekend.  The week prior they also captured the Nike Crossfire Championship.

(July 27, 2010) - WPFC ’98 White won the 2010 Stanno Tyee Cup Silver Division this past weekend. The boys started the first game slow but came back in the second half to win 2-1. Saturday was a great game with the sun shining the boys rested and perfectly cut grass. The team played hard and shut them out with a 6 nil win. The third game was a shut out as well with a score of 8 nil the boys had a clear advantage over the opposing team. With the combination of wins we qualified for the final. Sunday was another glorious day on the soccer field. The team played great despite the 80 sum degree temps and no shade in sight. The boys played hard all the way to the end with a 5 nil victory to win the tournament in first place. We would like to thank; our guest players they did great and added the extra force the team needed.
