(December 1, 2009) - The WPFC BU-13 boys were grouped with host Nomads, Colorado Rapids and Palo Alto Blue.  They played Nomads first and came out strong and aggressive earning the 3-0 win.  Later that day they took care of Colorado Rapids with a convincing 5-0 win. 

Day two started in the early morning with a game against Palo Alto Blue.  The boys played a solid first half but Palo Alto came out fighting harder in the second half and kept it close, with WPFC winning 2-1. 

Later that night was the quarter finals against Cal Odyssey.  The boys felt right at home as the rain, cold and wind all blew in for this match.  Cal Odyssey was awarded a PK just a few minutes into the match and took an early lead.  However, the boys battled back tying it up by halftime and scoring the game winner about half way through the second half, moving them through to the semis. 

In the semi finals WPFC faced CZ Elite.  This was an exciting back and forth game that was knotted at 2 at the end of regulation.  The boys advanced to the finals after making 4 of their 5 kicks from the mark. 

In the finals WPFC faced Central Valley Gunners.  Having gone directly from the semi finals to another field with just enough time to warm up and play the final, the boys really had to dig deep.  The Gunners took an early leave on a well executed set play.  The WPFC boys left it all on the field, outplaying the Gunners for a large portion of the game but unable to find the back of the net and the 0-1 score held. 

The boys played great soccer all weekend and we are very proud of them!

(December 1, 2009) - The WPFC BU-12 boys were grouped with host Nomads, Nomads Red and CSC Red.  Game 1 vs Nomads was an eye opener for both teams (Both fast, strong and aggressive)...WPFC takes the win 2-1. Later that day Game 2 vs Nomads Red .....WPFC wins 3-0. 

Saturday morning game vs CSC Red....cold and windy ...WPFC wins 1-0.  We had a very excited group of boys that needed to relax the rest of the day so they’d be ready for the semi finals on Sunday.  Trip to the movies then off to support the U13’s in their quarter final game. 

Sunday morning semi’s vs Cal Odyssey....WPFC wins 3-0!  We made it to the finals!  A few hours later the boys played once again, the host Nomads, losing 0-1 for the Final.  Wow what a weekend....the boys came to play and did they ever.  California won’t forget them.   Great job boys...we are all proud of you!
