Greetings  Members,  
 
As part of our new relationship with Athena, we will be presenting our membership with opportunities throughout the year to volunteer at various events that support cancer awareness.  By supporting these types of community events, WPFC has been able to secure $5,000 in scholarship monies to be awarded to 2010 high school WPFC seniors that best emulate Community Service and Involvement, Academic Prowess and Athletic Achievement and Sportsmanship.
 
Here is one of those opportunities.  Relay for Life of Sumner- Bonney Lake is in need of volunteers on August 7th and 8th... opening ceremonies is at 6pm and closing at noon on Saturday. 
 
They are also still welcoming new teams to be formed and are looking for Cancer Survivors to register and join them for the Survivor Ceremony. www.relayforlifeofsumnerbonneylake.org
 
They have needs for many volunteers.  They need help with set up, during the event, and clean up.   Please consider this event as part of your teams community service efforts.  If you have further questions, you can contact them directly by going to their website.
