WPFC ’94 White Champion

August 2, 2009) - The Washington Premier F.C. ’94 White team won their third consecutive Federal Way Blastoff title with a win over SGESC Fusion Fire 93 . This time doing it in the U16  “A” bracket. The title game was a tough affair with the older opponents refusal to let WPFC score at all in the first half . It wasn’t till early in the second half when the White team scored on a beautiful set play kick from Kendra Iverson outside the box. Fusion fought back late with a excellent goal tying opportunity that went over the bar; to their dismay. It was then that WPFC extinguished the Fire  when a penalty inside the box was called . Once again Kendra Iverson stepped up to bury the kick. WPFC 2  Fusion Fire 0.  This was an excellent tournament from the White team who outscored their opponents 7-0. A long break from club ball awaits the girls as most will play High School soccer but they will be ready for PDL play next spring.
