Wade has over thirty-five years of involvement in soccer as a professional player, youth coach, fan in the stands and parent on the sidelines. He has twice been voted high school coach of the year, won multiple league titles with five different clubs or schools, and have seen three of his former players enjoy professional careers. Wade has played soccer and found success at every level in the United States.

1994 - 1999: Professional Soccer Player, MLS, A-League, Miami Fusion, Dallas Burn and Seattle Sounders

• Won two league titles in Seattle in 1995 and 1996
• Won the US Open Cup in Dallas in 1997

1989 - 1993: Semi-Professional Soccer Player and Youth Coach, Portland and Seattle

• Played for the Portland Timbers and F.C. Seattle while coaching boys and girls at Thomas Jefferson High School and working at various summer soccer camps
