92 White Volunteer and Make a Difference

The boys U-15 White team spent Saturday, May 12th at the Puyallup South Hill Post Office assisting in the 2007 National Association of Letter Carriers food drive and giving back to their community. The boys helped to unload over 50,000 pounds of food collected by the letter carriers. The NALC Food Drive is the largest food drive in Pierce County, offering all residents of the community the opportunity to engage in the local fight against hunger. Since 1994, this food drive has collected more than 3 million pounds of food for hungry individuals and families in Pierce County. Letter carriers donate all food to the Emergency Food Network or a local food bank, where it is given to an individual or family in need.

The coordinators at the event were very impressed with the group of boys and rewarded their efforts with a barbeque lunch and gift certificates to Baskin Robbins! Coach Henry and the boys did a great job of representing the club and giving back to their community - thanks for your hard work boys!
